Lack of interest on the part of borough officials and many property owners involved was criticized at last night’s meeting of the Coaldale Organization for Redevelopment Planning.

William Pisklak, chairman, stated apparently none of the borough officials are interested in the program. The group, formed to redevelop the community and devise ways to raise $50,000 for the redevelopment plans, met last night but no council members were in attendance. Only Mayor Joseph Sharpe was present.

It was noted if the community could raise the $50,000, a half-million dollars in federal funds would be provided to relocate many homes damaged by mine subsidence.
