Man charged with indecent assault

A Slatington man has been charged with the indecent assault of a girl.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Detective Gregg Dietz of the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office in the case against Euribiades Santana:

The investigation was initiated when the victim, now a 14-year-old female, made allegations she was sexually assaulted by Santana, 29, during a therapy session.

A forensic interview was scheduled at the Lehigh County Children’s Advocacy Center where the victim was interviewed, at which time she described the incidents that began in March 2020 when she was 12, and continued until June 2021.

The victim said there were multiple locations for the incidents, but that the majority took place at Santana’s home in the 400 block of West Franklin Street in Slatington.

The victim said that Santana is her uncle, who resided at the home with other family members, and that while there, Santana engaged in sexual acts with her.

Dietz interviewed Santana at his residence, and he admitted to being sexually involved with the victim.

Santana described most incidents taking place when she would either be staying or visiting at the home.

He acknowledged knowing how old she was, and admitted to carrying out various sexual acts on the victim.

Santana faces charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse; aggravated indecent assault; corruption of minors; and indecent assault.

He is currently incarcerated in the Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $250,000 straight bail, and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Sept. 28 in Lehigh County Central Court in Allentown.
