Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters on Monday:

Resignations

• Retirement resignation of Richard Nichol, maintenance, effective Aug. 5. Nichol will retire from the district after nine years of service.

• Resignation of Robyn Pristash, Peters Elementary office paraprofessional, effective immediately.

• Resignation of Jennifer Kuhns, Slatington Elementary cafeteria monitor/aide, effective immediately.

• Resignation of Rebecca Edwards, Slatington Elementary cafeteria worker, effective immediately.

• Resignation of Charles George, Peters Elementary custodian, effective the end of the work day Aug. 23.

Appointments

• Douglas Hunt, short-term substitute high school English teacher, at the short-term substitute rate of $100 per day, effective Aug. 24, with a termination date upon the return of a full-time teacher.

• Shannon Jones, long-term substitute half-time middle school Family/Computer Science teacher, $25,875, effective Aug. 24, with a termination date the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

• Kay Solderitch, temporary professional employee elementary teacher, $51,750, effective Aug. 24.

• Kathryn Norton, professional employee elementary teacher, $61,075, effective Aug. 24.

• Jessica Jackovitz, long-term substitute elementary teacher, $51,750, effective Aug. 24, with a termination date the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

• Dylan Hofmann, professional employee health/physical education teacher, $51,750, effective Aug. 24.

• Gabryella Wilder, temporary professional employee senior high school science teacher, $56,975, effective upon release from current employer.

• Manuel Gonzalez, temporary professional teacher secondary Spanish teacher, $62,675, effective Aug. 24.

• Erika Katona, Jennifer Kuhns, Jessica Bloch, Ryan Papay, Angela Everett, Jessica Jones, Amy Dobiee, and Heather VanBlargan, instructional paraprofessionals, $15.45 per hour, effective Aug. 24.

• Tina Yocum, cafeteria/hall monitor, $13.87 per hour, effective on or about Oct. 8.

• Rebecca Edwards, high school office paraprofessional, $13.87 per hour, effective Aug. 24.

Administrative transfers

• Shelby Bailey, from seventh and eighth grade English Language Arts teacher, to seventh grade English Language Arts teacher, at no change in salary, effective Aug. 24.

• Anthony Tulio, from fifth grade elementary teacher to sixth grade elementary teacher, at no change in salary, effective Aug. 24.

Other

• Debra Knerr and Jacqueline Schuck as administration detention supervisors in the middle school. Knerr will cover the Monday detentions from 2:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m., and Schuck will cover the Wednesday detentions from 2:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. throughout the 2021-2022 school year on Mondays and Wednesdays that warrant detention coverage, at a salary of $20 per hour worked.

• Chris McCarty, substitute secondary detention monitor, senior high school, 2021-2022 school year, on an as-needed basis, with compensation at $20 per hour worked.

• Douglas Hunt, English substitute teacher, 2021-2022 school year at the 2021-2022 substitute teacher rates as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
