Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Capital One Bank, Glen Allen, Virginia, filed the following actions: Jason L. Gaul, 45 Covered Bridge Road, Palmerton, seeking $3,805.42; and Nicholas J. Hall, 329 W. Kline Ave., Lansford, seeking $6,236.01.

Crown Asset Management, Horsham, filed an action against Renee Pitts, seeking $1,785.48.

LVNV Funding, Horsham, filed the following actions: Seth Hahn, 1135 Church Road, Palmerton, seeking $1,617.71; and Dorothy Dunbar, 430 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, seeking $2,472.74.

Mortgage foreclosures

The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

LVN Corporation, c/o 1 Corporate Drive, Lake Zurich, Illinois, filed an action against Gary and Deeann Bonser, aka, Dee Ann Boner, 242 Princeton Ave., Palmerton, over property at that address. Sought is $101.574.09 and continuing interest.

Deutsche Bank National Trust, c/o 133 Gaither Drive, Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, filed an action against unknown heirs, successors, assigns and all persons firms or association claiming right, title or interest from or under Natalie A. Zemlan, over property at 479 Towamensing Trail, Albrightsville. Sought is $153,472.17 and continuing interest.

U.S. Bank Trust National Association, c/o Box 10826-0826, Greenville, South Carolina, filed an action against Todd Hedrick and Sharon Rex, 1361 W. Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton, over property at that address. Sought is $112,069.40 and continuing interest.

Note default

Community Bank, c/o 45-49 Court St., Canton, New York, filed an action against Zachary Card, 250 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, alleging he defaulted on a promissory note. Sought is $1,770.29 plus interest, costs and fees.

Auto loan

TD Auto Finance, c/o 170 S. Independence Mall W., Philadelphia, filed an action against Rebecca A. Moore, 9 Lauan Lane, Jim Thorpe, alleging she defaulted on an automobile loan. Sought is $10,844.93 plus interest, costs and fees.

Auto crash suit

Cameron Hepner, 228 N. Courtland St., East Stroudsburg, filed a civil action against Aimee Kuehner, 479 Franklin Ave., Palmerton, and John Doe 1-3, used to designate one or more unknown parties; and Keith Kuehner Jr., 115 Lonesome Lane, Palmerton, over a motor vehicle crash.

The suit states on Dec. 25, 2019, the plaintiff was operating a motor vehicle northbound on Route 209, near Trachsville Hill Road, in Towamensing Township, when defendant Aimee Kuehner, operating a vehicle owned by Keith Kuehner Jr., was southbound on Trachsville Hill Road, near Route 209. In the alternative, the suit states, defendant John Doe was operating a motor vehicle southbound on Trachsville Hill Road near Route 209.

The suit alleges that defendant Kuehner failed to stop for a posted stop sign at the intersection and entered the intersection with her vehicle striking Hepner’s vehicle; and in the alternative, John Doe failed to stop for a posted stop sign at the intersection and entered it with his vehicle striking Hepner’s vehicle.

As a result of the collision the plaintiff suffered “serious, severe and possibly permanent personal injury,” the suit alleges. Negligence is alleged against the defendants and sought are damages not in excess of $50,000 against each defendant.

Bill owed

Palmerton Community Ambulance Association, c/o Box 90301, Allentown, filed an action against Jonathan L. and Kathryn Kunkle, 330 Milton Drive, Lehighton, over a bill for services provided.

The suit alleges that in January 2003, the plaintiff and defendants entered into an agreement whereby the plaintiff agreed to provide services to the defendants.

The suit alleges a bill is owed for those services. Sought is $27,298.91 plus interest, costs and fees.

Assault suit

A civil suit for damages has been filed as the result of an alleged assault incident. The plaintiff is Derrick Beckham, 15 E. Point Road, Albrightsville. Defendant is Richard Rodweller, 110 W. Bertsch St., Lansford.

The suit states on Feb. 10, 2020, the defendant’s son, Richard Rodweller Jr., was speaking with another man apparently about an exchange of money for property. The other man then took the property and ran.

The plaintiff was left “stunned” at the property and was then jumped by Richard Rodweller, the suit alleges, and attacked with a “barrage of punches and kicks to the face and head.” The suit further alleges, the defendant escalated the assault by “taking a knife and stabbing the plaintiff multiple times in the neck and ribs.”

Negligence is alleged against the defendant for the “severe and substantial injuries to his head and body including a collapsed lung, some of which may be permanent in nature,” to the plaintiff.

Sought are damages “in an amount in excess of jurisdictional limit regarding arbitration.”

Records indicate that Richard Rodweller was charged by Lansford police as a result of the incident. Details of the arrest appeared in the Times News on March 3, 2020.
