June 9, 1988 - Northern Lehigh’s Sharon Mack pitches a one-hit shutout over 12 innings to outduel Bristol’s Stacie Bonner and lead the Bulldogs to a 1-0 victory in the PIAA Class 2A softball quarterfinals. Mack, who walks three and strikes out nine, pitches no-hit ball for 10 innings before allowing a single in the 11th. The Nolehi hurler retires 19 in a row at one point in the game and sets down 23 of the final 24 batters she faces. The Bulldogs earn a berth to the “Final Four” in Shippensburg in the 12th when Kim Henninger reaches base on an error and scores on Lori Nierer’s triple.
