At the conclusion of the 1985-86 academic year, the Lehigh County Community College trustees approved sweeping measures to reappoint the college faculty, staff and president, and further an organization overhaul.

Dr. Robert Barthlow was reappointed president at $55,700 annually at the monthly board of trustees meeting last week.

He cited appointment of divisional leaders as his primary goal, noting most colleges are organized along some sort of divisional leadership, as opposed to LCCC’s practice of relying on central leadership from the president’s office.

Barthlow said he plans to install three deans within the academic and student affairs branch of the college.
