Man charged after crashing into police vehicle during pursuit

A Delaware County man has been charged after crashing into a police vehicle during a pursuit in Weisenberg Township.

Pennsylvania State Police, Fogelsville barracks said that at 9:27 p.m. Monday, a trooper attempted to make a stop on a Dodge Challenger for summary violations that occurred in a construction zone.

The Dodge accelerated at a high rate of speed and continued to travel eastbound without stopping.

Another marked patrol vehicle that entered from I-78 Eastbound at Exit 49 was rear-ended by the Dodge Challenger twice. Another marked patrol vehicle made contact with the fleeing Dodge Challenger, which caused the Challenger to stop.

The driver of the Dodge Challenger, Mohamed Diallo, 27, of Yeadon, was taken into custody without incident.

Diallo was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, for an injury sustained in the collision.

The trooper whose vehicle was struck during the incident suffered minor injuries.

Diallo was charged with aggravated assault; fleeing or attempting to elude officer; recklessly endangering another person; reckless driving; careless driving; maximum speed limits and traffic violations.
