May 15, 2014 - Tracy Deubler throws a two-hit shutout and strikes out 12 to lead Pleasant Valley to a 2-0 victory over Stroudsburg in the Mountain Valley Conference championship game. Deubler doesn’t allow a runner past second base and throws a first-pitch strike to 21 of the 25 batters she faces. The Bears, coached by Steve Caffrey, gain a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Brittany Bonser’s RBI groundout. Bonser delivers a sacrifice fly that plates an insurance run in the sixth. The Mounties threaten in the seventh, getting two runners on base, but Deubler gets a grounder to end the game and clinch the title for PV.
