Isabella Fort recently became a two-time state champion in gymnastics.

The 14-year-old Tamaqua Area middle schooler took home gold on vault to become the state champ in her age group, as well as earned a silver on the uneven bars at the Xcel Pennsylvania State Gymnastics Meet, held at Nittany Valley Sports Centre in State College earlier this month.

Fort has been in gymnastics for six years under the direction of Tumble with Denise.

She is the daughter of Cheryl and Matt Sitlinger and Tom and Lisa Fort.

In addition to gymnastics, she competes in soccer and track, and is also a member of National Honor Society and a straight-A student.

This is Fort’s second gold medal at the state championship on vault. She also took home the championship in her age group in 2018.
