Bethlehem state police report on crashes
State police at Bethlehem barracks reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.
• A Slatington teen was struck by a vehicle on April 18 at 4:20 p.m. along Main Street in Washington Township, Lehigh County, troopers said.
Troopers identified the teen as a 15-year-old female who was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. The driver of the vehicle involved was identified as Kelly S. Ziegler, 50, of Lansford, driving a 2008 Kia Sedona. She had a passenger, Daniel Ziegler, 21, also of Lansford. They were not injured.
Troopers did not give any other details of the incident.
• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 7:47 a.m. on April 20 along Mauch Chunk Road in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Troopers said Shawn K. Mulligan, 57, of Slatington, was driving a 2006 Ford F250 truck eastbound and entering the intersection with Willow Street and failed to stop for a red traffic light. Tracy L. Walczer, 50, of Northampton, driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue, entered the intersection with a steady green light and her vehicle struck the Ford.
Walczer was examined at the scene by medical personnel but refused further treatment. Mulligan was not injured. The Rogue had to be towed.
Mulligan was cited for obedience to traffic control devices.
• Another two-vehicle crash was reported at 7:50 a.m. on April 13 along Tilghman Street in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Troopers said Krystal T. Hinds, 34, of Kunkletown, driving a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, and Erick J. Gall, 42, of Allentown, driving a 2018 Honda Accord, were attempting to make a right hand turn onto West Tilghman Street. Gall entered the street and slowed due to traffic and his vehicle was struck in the rear by Hinds’.
No one was injured.
Hinds was cited for following too closely.
• A crash was reported at 1:12 p.m. on April 15 along Route 329 in Allen Township, Northampton County. Troopers identified the drivers as Damani L. Velazquez, 20, of Slatedale, driving a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander, and Noreen R. Molchany, 55, of Whitehall, driving a 2005 Honda Civic. No injuries were reported.
Troopers did not release details of the crash but indicated Velazquez was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 8:35 a.m. on April 20 along Route 22 in South Whitehall Township. Troopers said Chelsae R. Moser, 30, of Kunkletown, driving a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country, and Muhammad M. Butt, 40, of Allentown, driving a 2010 Lexus HS250, were both eastbound in the left lane. Butt slowed down due to traffic and his vehicle was struck in the rear by Moser’s vehicle. Damages were minor to both vehicles and no injuries reported.
Moser was cited for following too closely.
