Northern Lehigh High School students Aidan Williams and Paige Craddock, student representatives to the board, talked last week about the return to classes.
Williams, a senior, said, “It’s been a few weeks now, and I’ve personally experienced a lot of benefits for being back four days a week.” Williams said.
He said he’s discovered he learns better in person. “It also lets me engage in some of the extracurricular activities I’m in such as Student Council, National Honor Society.”
He said the athletes agree.
“I am, of course, a little bit worried about the spread of COVID, but from what I’ve seen most of the students and the staff are really taking the social distancing seriously, which is really awesome to see, and I’m sure things will only get even safer as more people get the vaccine.”
He is hoping to return to normal soon.
Craddock, a junior, added, “Personally for me, four days has also been like really good.”
She describes herself as a hands-on person.
“I’m not really good at the online, and I really enjoy like being with people and like talking.”
She said teachers have been good with mix-ups and missed assignments.
“I really appreciate how they’ve been able to work with me.”
