The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:

Carbon County

• Penn Forest, Route 534 bridge repair between Route 903 and Towamensing Trail, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Kidder/Penn Forest, Route 903/Highway to Adventure shoulder work/widening between Schuylkill County Line and Route 93, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• East Penn Township, Route 895 drainage Route 248 and county line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

• Lower Towamensing Township, Forest Inn Road drainage between Little Gap Road and Route 209, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

• Lower Towamensing Township, Lower Smith Gap Road drainage between Blue Mountain Road and county line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

Lehigh County

• North Whitehall Township, Sand Spring Road utility work between Park View Drive and Coplay Creek Road, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.

• South Whitehall Township, Route 22 Ramps at Route 309:

Motorists should be aware that there will be various ramp closures with detours for work related to the ongoing Route 22 Pavement Rehabilitation Project. Closures will occur 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Schedule and detours is as follows:

Monday: Route 22 East to Route 309 South;

Tuesday: Route 309 North to Route 22 East;

Wednesday: Route 22 West to Route 309 North, then Route 309 South to Route 22 West;

Thursday: Route 309 north to Route 22 West and Route 22 West to Route 309 South (Detours will run simultaneous);

Friday: Monday - Route 309 South to Route 22 East and Route 22 East to Route 309 North (detours will be simultaneous). These ramps will be closed 24-hour from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.

Monroe County

• Stroudsburg Borough, Interstate 80 lane restrictions between Exit 305 (Main Street) and Exit 307 (Route 611 to Route 191), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday.

• Stroudsburg Borough, I-80 shoulder restrictions between Exit 305 (Main Street) and Exit 305 (Route 209 BUS), 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday.

• Stroudsburg Borough, Business Route 209/West Main Street East lane restrictions for drilling between Hazel Street and Beers Street, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Hamilton Township, Manor Drive at Business Route 209 inspection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Stroud Township, Business Route 209/West Main Street inspection Bridge Street and Dreher Avenue, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Multiple townships: I-80 East pothole patching Exit 299 (Route 715) and Exit 310 (Route 611), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Middle Smithfield Township, Lower Lakeview Drive crack sealing between Route 209 and Municipal Drive, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

• Pocono Township, I-80 West bridge repair between Exit 299 (Route 715) and Exit 293 (JCT I-380), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday or Thursday.
