A woman died in a house fire in Catasauqua Saturday.

The woman, whose identity has not been confirmed was pronounced dead at 4:02 p.m. by Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Gabrielle Alcaro, in a house located at 119 Union Street, Catasauqua.

The fire broke out at 5:35 a.m. Saturday.

The coroner’s office said additional information will be released when her identity has been confirmed.

An autopsy will be performed on Monday, to determine the cause and manner of death.

This death is being investigated by the coroner’s office, the Catasauqua Fire Department and the Catasauqua Police Department.
