March 9, 2013 - Northern Lehigh’s Ty Herzog gains an 11-5 decision over Boe Bonzo of Freedom (District 12) to capture a fifth-place medal at 152 pounds at the PIAA Class 2A State Wrestling Championships. Herzog, a senior, jumps out to a quick lead with a takedown just eight seconds into the match. He adds another takedown later in the period and gets his third in the second period. A reversal early in the third pushes his lead to 8-3. The Bulldog grappler, coached by his father Todd Herzog, ends his year with a 31-6 record, and finishes his high school career with a 121-37 mark.
