State police at Frackville report on incidents

State police at Frackville reported on the following Schuylkill County incidents.

• On Feb. 4 at 5:51 p.m. troopers observed Jed Dubuc, 29, walking in the Barnesville area of Rush Township. Troopers knew that Dubuc had an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Charges are pending.

• On Feb. 5 at 10:06 a.m. troopers responded to 488 Mount Olive Blvd., in West Mahanoy Township, in an attempt to located Steven Melsom, 25, of Shenandoah, on an arrest warrant. Melson was found hiding in the residence and was taken into custody. Found on him was a hypodermic needle. Charges will be filed.

• On Feb. 20 at 8:13 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop along South Altamont Boulevard ad Mall Road in Ryan Township of a 2003 Honda. The driver, a 57-year-old man from Minersville, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence and in possession of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. He was taken into custody on a driving under the influence charge with a drug possession count also pending.
