State police report on Schuylkill DUI cases

State police have reported on the following DUI cases:

• A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Feb. 15 at 5:25 p.m.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said at the time and date stated troopers were dispatched to the Top Star services station in Tower City for a possible drug overdose. Store employees said a man, operating a Ford F-350 truck, asked to use the bathroom and was found 30 minutes later passed out inside the bathroom.

The man, who was later identified as Jonathan Emerich, 29, of Frackville, was found by troopers passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle about 2 miles from the service station. He showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody and transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East in Pottsville. Drug paraphernalia was also found in the vehicle.

Troopers said charges of DUI of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia will be filed against Emerich.

• On Feb. 6 at 8:20 a.m. troopers responded to a crash along Matthew Lane in North Manheim Township. Troopers said a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic struck a parked vehicle and the driver fled the scene.

The driver was later located and identified as Ann Donton, 52, of Mar Lin. She was placed under arrest for DUI. •

On Feb. 12 at 1:02 a.m. state police at Frackville troopers conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of West Main Street, in Ringtown.

The driver of the 1995 Chevrolet, identified as Charles Lindenmuth, 67, of Frackville, was found to be impaired and also in possession of suspected methamphetamine. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending.
