The Lehighton boys’ basketball team posted a victory over Panther Valley on Wednesday.

The Weatherly girls’ basketball team also secured a win.

Lehighton rolled to a 65-37 victory over Panther Valley.

Richard Yturrino netted 11 of his team-high 17 points in the third quarter for the Indians (10-8). Jack Lorenz added 15 points.

Stephen Hood scored 17 points for the Panthers (4-13), while Andrew Kokinda chipped in with 14 points.

T’nyah Riggins scored 23 points for Executive Education Charter School, while Kimberly Madrid posted eight points along with 23 rebounds.

Erika Dubosky led the Panthers (5-16 overall) with 22 points and 14 rebounds in the setback. Maddison Maynard chipped in with 10 points, while Sera Robin added four points and seven rebounds.

Pottsville pulled away in the second half for a 52-43 nonleague win over Northern Lehigh.

Julia Kowalski led a trio of Tide players in double figures with 13 points, while Julia Plachko and Taylor Walsh both finished with 12.

The Bulldogs (5-6 overall), who led 21-18 at half, were paced by Emma Niebell’s game-high 19 points. Madison Seier and Aubrey Pollard chipped in with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Samantha Merklin led the Bears (3-7 overall; 3-7 EPC) with 15 points, while Katelyn Honadel added nine.
