Lehighton Ambulance subscription drive

Lehighton Ambulance is currently conducting its 2021 subscription fund drive.

If you reside or have a home in Lehighton, Franklin Township, Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, Summit Hill, Lansford, Nesquehoning, Weissport or Parryville, you should have received a subscription packet in the mail. Lehighton is the primary emergency medical provider, offering both basic and advanced life support services for these areas.

There are sections in Mahoning, East Penn Township and Towamensing Township that are 911 serviced by Lehighton Ambulance. If you dial 911 and Lehighton Ambulance Association is the ambulance service that is dispatched as primary basic life support and advanced life support, you should subscribe to the Lehighton Ambulance Association. It will be this association primarily responsible for your 911 request.

The ambulance staff includes a combination of volunteers and career providers covering your communities, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

A subscription is not the same as a donation. With a subscription you or your household would be covered for the out-of-pocket expenses above what your insurance pays on medically necessary emergency ambulance transportation. Most insurance copays and deductibles are significantly higher on emergency transportation than the cost of an individual or household subscription.

If the subscriber does not have medical insurance coverage, the entire cost of the service will be covered. This coverage includes time away from home if you are still within Lehighton Ambulance covered communities.

During the subscription drive and throughout the year, donations are also gladly accepted.

To donate in addition to subscribing, please just note the amount in the space on the subscription card. In addition, the association accepts donations from any businesse. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation.

The types of subscriptions are:

Individual: $55, includes services for the subscriber only.

Household: $75, will cover anyone who lives in the residence.

Any amount submitted which is less than the amount stated above will be considered a donation, not a subscription, and the benefits of subscription will not apply. Your subscription will not be valid until payment is received.

For subscribers who use electronic banking to pay subscription, note “for annual subscription” in the comment field so that your payment is posted correctly. The association asks people to send in your subscription as soon as possible to save us the cost of mailing a reminder to you.

Lehighton Ambulance is an independent, nonprofit organization, not a municipal service. As such, we rely on your subscriptions to ensure that state-of-the-art pre-hospital emergency care will be there when you need it most.

If you have not received your subscription fund drive envelope, and you live in the aforementioned areas, or in any other area that Lehighton Ambulance has primary coverage, call at 610-377-5155, and we will mail one to you.
