Mr. and Mrs. Marc Gardiner of Summit Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Heffelfinger of Tamaqua are announcing the engagement of their children Amy Gardiner and Darren Heffelfinger.

The bride-to-be is a 2016 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Kutztown University. She is currently working toward a master’s degree in special education from Lehigh University; and is a teacher intern at Centennial School of Lehigh University.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2014 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and is currently employed at American Zinc Recycling in Palmerton.

The couple is planning a June 17, 2023, wedding.
