An autopsy was performed on the woman found dead Sunday in Pine Grove.
Schuylkill County Coroner David J. Moylan said the autopsy was done at 8 a.m. Thursday at The Dauphin County Forensic Center, Harrisburg. He declined to say what the results of the autopsy were, referring questions to state police public information officer David Boehm.
“Final diagnosis is pending toxicology,” Moylan said.
Boehm said he had no update to provide on the victim.
State police at Schuylkill Haven charged Kalvin Clark, 32, with aggravated assault and simple assault in the death of his grandmother, Sharon Zimmerman, 73. Clark is in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $250,000 cash bail after he was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker. A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Feb. 4 in Kilker’s courtroom.
Police say Clark admitted he and the victim had an argument before her death. Schuylkill County EMS responded to the home at 89 N. Tulpehocken St. and found her dead in the second floor bathroom. Police were then called. She was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m. Sunday.
