More Schuylkill County employees have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Heidi Zula, human resources director, said five symptomatic employees have tested positive for the virus. Contact tracing has been done, resulting in six additional employees in quarantine due to exposure.

Ten employees who were in quarantine have been cleared to return to work.

Zula also gave an update of employees and inmates at the Schuylkill County Prison who have COVID-19.

One employee and seven inmates have it. The county prison continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19. Steps are being taken to ensure the safety of staff, inmates and public.
