On Sunday Lehigh County Executive Phil Armstrong will join Allentown Mayor Ray O’Connell and Lehigh Valley clergy members for a prayer service remembering those who passed from the COVID-19 virus. The event will be held at 5 p.m. at Agricultural Hall located at the Allentown Fairgrounds.

In addition to the prayer service, a community blessing will be bestowed upon the facility from the various religious organizations and clergy members in attendance.

This is in preparation for the upcoming vaccination clinic that will take place at the location on Monday, as announced by the Allentown Health Bureau. It is with this prayer service that a message of hope is shared throughout the Lehigh Valley as vaccines roll out to local communities.

State Reps. Michael Schlossberg and Peter Schweyer plan to attend.
