A man was injured Wednesday morning when he lost control of his car on snowy roads.

State police at Lehighton said Nicholas J. Teichert, 19, of Palmerton, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound on Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township on Wednesday at 7:43 a.m.

The vehicle traveled off the road and struck a tree near the property at 1445 Little Gap Road.

Teichert was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. The vehicle had to be towed.

He was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
