Two people died in a house fire Friday in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.

Butler Township Police Chief Edward Tarantelli identified the victims as Alison Marie Houser, 29, and Andrew John Charriez, 13.

Township police responded to the fire at 34 Brown Lane at 12:30 a.m. finding a “fully involved structure fire,” Tarantelli said. Four residents were home at the time of the fire, two escaped. One was flown to Geisinger Medical Center with unknown injuries. The other was uninjured. State police fire marshals were at the scene investigating the fire.

The following emergency personnel assisted at the scene: Pennsylvania State Police, Ashland, Frackville, West Mahanoy Township and Shenandoah Police. Responding were the following fire companies, Fountain Springs, Lavelle, Englewood, Altamont, Washington, American, and a local tanker task force. Ashland EMS, Shenandoah EMS, Life Flight 5, and the Schuylkill County Coroner’s office also responded.
