Northern Lehigh directors recognized for School Board Appreciation Month

Northern Lehigh School District’s board of directors were recognized at Monday’s school board meeting.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Tania Stoker noted there were several books set up on the board room table.

“These are the books that are being donated tonight on behalf of our school board members to our school library’s so that Northern Lehigh School District students and staff can check them out,” Stoker said. “On behalf of our librarians, I would like to thank school board members for these donations.”

Librarian Krystle Tiedeman expressed her thanks.

“Thank you very much for your continued support of the libraries and literacy at Northern Lehigh,” Tiedeman said.

Stoker also took the opportunity to thank directors as part of School Board Appreciation Month.

“Thank you for all that you do as board members for this district,” Stoker said. “You all volunteer a great deal of time to ensure that our students get the best education and have a variety of opportunities available to them.

“We recognize that the job of a board member has been even more difficult this year as we navigate educating students during a pandemic. So thank you again for your dedication and support.”

Link echoed Dr. Stoker’s comments, and said he wanted to share his appreciation on behalf of the entire school district.

“For even though you’re not paid, you consistently donate your time and efforts on behalf of our students, our staff, our administration and really the entire Northern Lehigh community,” Link said. “So again, thank you, and happy school board appreciation month.”
