One man was hurt in a two-vehicle crash Dec. 9 on Interstate 476, the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, in Franklin Township.
State police at the Pocono barracks said John J. Koehler, 84, of Bristol, was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Lehighton Ambulance personnel. Police said the extent of his injuries is unknown.
Police said he was driving a 2011 Nissan Frontier north when it was struck in the rear by a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 operated by John D. Bonnema, 38, of Northampton. Bonnema was injured.
Police said both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
Bonnema was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, police said.
