December 24, 2010 - The Times News Sports Department names Emma Kemmerer of Northwestern as its Times News Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Year. Kemmerer, who was the team’s No. 8 runner the year before, was the Tigers’ top finisher in five of her team’s 10 meets during the regular season. She would place eighth at the Colonial League meet before taking 10th in Class 3A at districts. The junior continued her strong run with the best area finish at the PIAA meet, crossing the line in 21:10.
