A 66-year-old Orwigsburg man was swindled out of $340 by someone pretending to be a Direct TV employee.

The incident was reported to state police at Schuylkill Haven at 6 p.m. Nov. 20.

The impostor convinced the victim to place the money on several gift cards and send them to him.
