A look back: Nov. 24, 2004

The Sons of the American Legion Post 316 of Summit Hill is helping to make the families of those less fortunate a little brighter with their donation of $800 to the Summit Hill Food Pantry for the purchase of 80 turkeys for their Thanksgiving distribution.

Summit Hill Food Pantry No. 218 representative Rose Marie Armon said the donation is much appreciated. She said as more people learn the food pantry is open to the community the number of families requesting assistance continues to grow. The program distributes food to 75-80 families monthly.

Making the presentation on behalf of the Sons were Commander Stan Karnish, Vice Commander Kevin Collevechio, Finance Officer Joe Zubek and Adjutant Brian Folk.
