Schuylkill crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported the following crashes investigated on Schuylkill County roadways.

• A Berks County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence after a rear-end crash at 6:55 p.m. on Nov. 8 along Route 61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Sharon E. Souchak, 56, of Schuylkill Haven, driving a 2014 Honda Accord, was stopped in the right lane while Juan G. Colin Salazar, 43, of Reading, driving a 2007 Acura TSC, was behind her and could not stop in time. His vehicle hit the rear of the Honda.

No one was injured. The Acura had to be towed. Salazar was found to be under the influence. DUI charges are pending. He was charged with careless driving.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported on Nov. 11 about midnight along East Bacon Street in Palo Alto borough. Jamie A. Wolfe, 34, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2007 Honda Civic eastbound when the vehicle left the travel lane and struck a 2005 Chevrolet Astro van, legally parked.

Wolfe was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville. She was cited for the crash.

• A crash was reported at 9:56 p.m. on Nov. 7 on Mountain Road in Pine Grove Township. Troopers said Patricia A. Wolf, 31, of Bethel, Berks County, was driving a 2019 Nissan Sentra eastbound when she was distracted by her cellphone. The vehicle left the road on the right side and struck a tree. Wolf sustained a possible minor shoulder injury and was treated at the scene. The vehicle was towed. She was cited for the crash.

• Susy A. Ulicny, 26, of New Philadelphia, was cited after a crash at 4:17 p.m. Oct. 28 on Route 61 in North Manheim Township. Police said she was driving a 2007 Ford Taurus from Pottsville Street, attempted to turn left to go north on Route 61, when the vehicle struck a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by William C. Bonzo, 30, of Ellwood City. The Ram was attempting to go straight onto Pottsville Street westbound when it was struck. There were no injuries.
