Woman had methamphetamine, other items at hotel room where she stayed

A Lehighton woman has been charged after methamphetamine and other items were confiscated from the hotel room in Franklin Township where she was staying.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Cpl. Shawn Noonan of the Pennsylvania State Police Lehighton barracks in the case against Allison Serfass:

At 4:30 p.m. Oct. 8, Noonan arrested Richard Castor following an incident in Weissport that involved methamphetamine, PCP, cocaine, DEA scheduled pills, a gun, $7,189 and a hotel room key to the Country Inn and Suites in Franklin Township.

The hotel room key was active and the room was rented by Serfass, 35.

An examination of the PCP bottle revealed what appeared to be tobacco floating within the liquid.

A hotel clerk told police that Serfass rented the room with her photo ID and that he is familiar with her as she rents rooms often at the hotel.

He said the room where Serfass stays had a lot of traffic overnight and that she was staying in the room.

Police obtained a search warrant and found a half-pound of methamphetamine, 14 hypodermic needles, six Newport cigarettes dipped in PCP, seven empty bags with residue, a package of unused Apple zippered bags and a digital scale.

Serfass returned to the hotel later that evening, but did not remain when she learned the police were notified.

It was also noted that the Apple bags in the room were similar to bags used by Castor to store his drugs.

Serfass faces charges of conspiracy - manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; intentional possession of controlled substance by person not registered; and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is incarcerated in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 monetary bail, and scheduled to have a formal arraignment on Dec. 3 in Carbon County court.
