State police at Schuylkill Haven are looking for the man who started a fire on the steps of a Schuylkill County organization.

Troopers said on Oct. 27 at 10:42 p.m. troopers responded to 500 W. Grand Ave., Porter Township, to the front of the Porter Tower Lions Club. Troopers said during an investigation it was learned that a man set a red athletic gym bag containing clothing on fire on the steps of the club.

The Tower City Fire Company arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.

The suspect was described as being about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6-feet tall, wearing khaki pants, white and black hooded sweatshirt and was carrying a black backpack.
