State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a fraud incident reported on Oct. 22.

Troopers said a 42-year-old woman from San Francisco, California, contact them to report a theft. The woman said she was trying to rent a property through Craigslist and paid $760. She said the rental property was not the property depicted in the photos submitted. The property in question was reported to be along Parker Trail in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Anyone else who had this experience is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
