Christmas tree project to help seniors

It’s our responsibility to be involved and give back to our community as part of our mission. As the holidays approach, it’s a perfect time to do just that. Starting Monday, the public, clients, friends and family can support the Christmas tree project, Angels for Aging. The event is being coordinated by the Markley team at the office located at 445 Coal St., Lehighton.

“This will be our first year hosting this holiday campaign and also partnering with Carbon County Area Agency on Aging. We are doing this by picking a name or two off the tree and fulfilling their wishes. We then wrap the gifts, attach their name, and place them under the tree. Gifts will be picked up on Dec. 4. We’re really excited helping to put smiles on faces of our local seniors. I encourage anyone who is interested to come in and pick a name from our tree,” said Ronalyn D. Birnbaum, project coordinator and member protection sales associate.

“The thoughtful gifts given by Markley Insurance and Financial Services are sometimes the only holiday cheer that these individuals receive during the holidays. We’re so grateful to be partnering with Markley,” said Deena Fital, aging care manager supervisor at the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging.
