One person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-car crash in Franklin Township.

Township police officer Frank Buonaiuto said the incident occurred at 3:28 p.m. at the intersection of Route 209 and Wagner Street.

Upon arrival, Buonaiuto said a vehicle was on its side with one man entrapped. He said the man was self-extricated.

Buonaiuto said the driver of the Camry was Devan Pepe, while the driver of the Ford Escape was Joseph Keating. He said Keating was transported to the hospital.

Police remained on scene for about an hour, Buonaiuto said.

He said the matter remains under investigation.

Buonaiuto said also assisting at the scene were the Franklin Township Fire Company and Lehighton Ambulance.
