Senior center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Oct. 26-30 is as follows:

Monday: Chef salad with chicken, roll, pineapple

Tuesday: Chicken club wrap, cucumber salad, apple slices

Wednesday: Tuna salad sandwich, coleslaw, grapes

Thursday: Waldorf chicken salad, roll, fruit salad

Friday: Turkey salad sandwich, carrot salad, grapes

The senior center has also announced the following activities:

Bingo on Oct. 26 at 10:45 a.m.; Staying Sharp Successful Aging and Your Brain on Oct. 27 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Oct. 28 at 11 a.m.; Halloween Bingo on Oct. 29 at 10:45 a.m.; Ladderball on Oct. 30 at 11 a.m.

Anyone coming to the center for a lunch or a social visit must preregister since we have a maximum 16-person capacity.

If someone is interested in coming for lunch or to check on activities, they can call the center at 570-669-9930 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Panther Valley Public Library: Nov. 4 and 25 and Dec. 2.

• Summit Hill Heritage Center: Oct. 28, Nov. 18.

• PV/Nesquehoning Senior Center: Oct. 27, Nov. 10 and 24.

Historical society

The Nesquehoning Historical Society will hold a board meeting at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 for the purpose of voting in new officers.

All members of the society are welcome to attend and vote. Any nonmembers wishing to join are welcome to attend the meeting and become members.

The 2020 raffle the society is holding will also be drawn at this meeting.

The meeting will take place at society headquarters, 157 W. Railroad St. in Nesquehoning.

All attendees are requested to wear masks.
