The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed Wednesday that there were 1,425 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 186,297.

Allegheny County is reporting an increase of 114 cases and Philadelphia County is reporting an increase of 100 cases.

There are 8,562 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 29 new deaths reported.

Locally, Carbon County is reporting 550 cases, an increase of two. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 remain at 29. Lehigh County is reporting 6,201 cases, an increase of 35. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 are a total of 363.

Luzerne County reported an increase of 43 cases, bringing the total to 4,824. One additional death is reported for a total of 191. Monroe County has four new cases, bringing the total to 1,944, with 134 deaths. Northampton County has 5,108 cases, an increase of 30 cases. There are 309 deaths. Schuylkill County has 1,682 cases, an increase of 26. One additional death has been reported for a total of 75.
