Virtual Open Houses

Prospective students of all ages can choose from two convenient online open houses this fall to learn about the 100+ fields of study offered at Northampton Community College.

The two open houses, inclusive of all NCC sites, will feature a mix of panels and information sessions that will run in 45-minute increments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 24 and Nov. 21.

The panel discussions will delve into specific areas of study while the information sessions will cover topics including financial aid, career services, residence life, transfer agreements and more.

Attendees can pick and choose which panels that are of most interest to them based on individual questions and anticipated area of study.

Cops ‘n Kids Events

Northampton Community College will hold Cops ‘n Kids events on several Saturdays, during the fall semester, at the Just Born Cops ‘n Kids Reading Room at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem.

Each session runs from 10 a.m.-noon.

Events include:

Oct. 24. A Halloween Tale: Room on the Broom

Nov. 7. The Very Helpful Hedgehog

Nov. 21. Who’s Up for Thanksgiving Leftovers?

Dec. 5. Holiday Traditions to Share

Dec. 12. Meet Earl, the Christmas Tree Spider

Masks are required for all attendees. Attendance is limited, and preregistration is required. Register at lvcops-n-kids@att.net.

Include the following information when registering: Name(s) of all adult attendees; Name(s) and age(s) of children attending; Phone number at which you can be reached; Event date for which you are registering.

Make an American Flag

Cutting Board

Using exotic woods, create an American flag cutting board for your kitchen on Nov. 7, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at Northampton Community College’s Fab Lab, Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem.

Participants will learn how to cut, join and inlay. It is suitable for both the beginner and more experienced woodworker.
