Troopers investigate Polk incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on incidents troopers investigated in Polk Township, Monroe County.

• At 3:57 p.m. Oct. 3 troopers were dispatched to a residence at Ashley Court for a criminal mischief report. The resident reported someone threw two rocks at her house, causing minor damages to the siding. The incident occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 when troopers were notified.

• At 4:18 p.m. Oct. 3, troopers responded to a residence along Astolat Road for a report of a attempted burglary. Troopers listed three victims, all from Effort. No other details were released.

• Troopers are investigating a report of suspected child abuse.

Troopers said the alleged abuse occurred at a residence along Beltzville Drive in Polk Township, Monroe County, involving a 17-year-old female as the victim.

The investigation is continuing. Police did not release any other details.
