The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported Saturday that there were 1,742 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 171,050.
Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 151 cases.
There are 8,344 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 36 new deaths reported.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 23,831 resident cases of COVID-19, and 5,268 cases among employees, for a total of 29,099 at 1,006 distinct facilities in 61 counties. Out of our total deaths, 5,551 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here.
Approximately 11,272 of our total cases are among health care workers.
Carbon County is reporting 504 cases, eight new cases. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 remain at 29.
Lehigh County is reporting 5,941 cases, an increase of 40 from Friday. There is one additional death, bringing the total to 358 deaths.
Luzerne County reported an increase of 41 cases, bringing the total to 4,346. Deaths remain at 190.
Monroe County has six new cases, bringing the total to 1,858, with 134 deaths.
Northampton County has 4,820 cases, an increase of 83 cases. An additional death is reported for a total of 308.
Schuylkill County has 1,379 cases, an increase of 37. One more death has been reported for a total of 63.
