Judge Christina Hale will be sworn in as common pleas judge Monday at the Schuylkill County Courthouse.
President Judge William E. Baldwin said he will administer the oath at 11:30 a.m. in courtroom 1.
He said Hale was given her commission Tuesday. She is filing the vacancy caused by the retirement of Judge John Domalakes.
The Senate voted last month to confirm Hale to the court.
Hale has handled over 34,000 cases as a Magisterial District Judge in Northern Schuylkill County since 2012 ranging from summary traffic offenses to homicide cases. She received nominations from both parties in her first election in 2011 and was unopposed in her second election in 2017.
Before her time as judge, Hale had her own law practice. She received her law degree from Dickinson Law School and her bachelor’s from Penn State University.
