October 7, 1977 - Kevin Snyder scores a pair of touchdowns and Larry Mertz rushes for 118 yards and a score to help Lehighton roll to a 42-6 Centennial League victory over Pleasant Valley. Snyder opens the scoring with a 4-yard TD run and reaches the end zone again from five yards out to give the Indians a 12-0 lead. Dave Warner throws an 11-yard scoring toss to Rickie Jones and also breaks free for a 56-yard tally in the third quarter to break the game open. The winners, coached by Jimmy Wentz, finish with 386 yards of offense and also receive a 6-yard TD run from Kim Snyder.
