The Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network and the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership will be collecting money during October to help the food banks in Tamaqua through the “2020 Help the Hungry” Virtual Hunger Walk, which takes the place of the annual walk.

Virtual Hunger Walk participants are asked to walk on their own during October and seek financial support from family and friends. They are encouraged to have one of their walks recorded and posted on the TAFFN Facebook page. Videos will be assembled into a Virtual Hunger Walk to be webcast in November.

Event sponsorships for the Virtual Hunger Walk are also available.

Donations from those who do not want to walk or and event sponsorships can be sent to Hunger Walk, c/o TAFFN, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua, PA 18252. Checks should be made out to TAFFN with “2020 Help Hungry” in the memo line.

All Virtual Hunger Walk participants must be registered in order to collect sponsorships.

All fundraising is to conclude by Oct. 31 and will benefit Tamaqua area food banks.
