Lehigh Carbon Community College offers a variety of classes in the coming months:
Cooking with kids classes
LCCC will offer a parent and child class at its main campus. Children ages 10-16 and their parents can attend for a fee.
On Oct. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., learn how to make classic Neapolitan-style pizza.

Couples cooking
Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer a variety of noncredit hands-on cooking classes for couples to enjoy. All are held from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Lisa Jane Scheller Community Services Center kitchen at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville. Fees per person vary.
• Learn the history and cultural context and how to make sushi rolls in date night class Sushi 101, held on Oct. 2. Bring a water bottle or nonalcoholic beverage.
• Couples cooking class, The Cuisine of Asia, which will be held Nov. 6, teaches participants how to make dishes from Thailand, Vietnam and mainland China, such as dumplings, egg rolls and wok stir fry.

CBD course
LCCC will hold a new noncredit class this semester, CBD 101.
Explore the history and health benefits of CBD, which stands for cannabidiol and is naturally found in hemp plants. Learn the basics on label reading, safety, potency, side effect and legalities.
Choose from one of the following classes held at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville.
• Sundays, Nov. 8-22, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Dance classes
Lehigh Carbon Community College will hold a variety of noncredit exercise classes for fitness and recreation this semester.
Two dance classes will be offered for couples only, for a fee per person. Both recommend a flat shoe or one with low, wide heels. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, both classes will be held at the Schnecksville campus.
• Ballroom Sampler teaches the basics in Fox Trot, Single-Step Swing and Rumba, all from the Big Band era. Class will be held Tuesdays, Oct. 6-27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
• Learn the East and West Coast Swing, Hustle and Country Two-Step in the Social Dance Sampler class, which emphasizes the lead-follow technique. Class runs Thursdays, Oct. 29 through Nov. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
