Matta’s 18-yard run sets up his 1-yard TD plunge to open the scoring in the first quarter. He adds a 30-yard touchdown run in the second frame and catches a 9-yard scoring pass from Mike Midas in the final period. Midas also connects with John Kanuch for a 59-yard tally. The winners, coached by Johnny Chuckran, also receive a 2-yard TD run from Fred Tiley and a 29-yard scoring pass from Eddie Chuckran to Bussey Earley.
