A Monroe County man has been accused of sexually assaulting two girls.

State police at Stroudsburg said on Sept. 8 they began an investigation related to an allegation of sexual abuse of two girls, ages 7 and 12.

After interviews at the Monroe County Children Advocacy Center, Manuel Dejesus Lopez, 70, of Jackson Township, was charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.

He was arraigned and committed to the county prison in Snydersville.
