                Tyler Hager and the Palmerton golf team opened their season in impressive fashion on Thursday. Hager, last year’s Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Golfer of the Year, shot a sizzling 67 to lead the Bombers to a victory over Lehighton.
                Weatherly also picked up a golf victory, defeating Mahanoy Area.

                Hager was five-under-par on the Woodstone Country Club Course to spark Palmerton to a 397-455 non-league victory over Lehighton.
                Derek Rea also played well for the Bombers, carding a 78.
                Jack Lorenz had an Indians’ low 83.
