A Carbon County driver was involved in a crash along the northeast extension of the turnpike in Lehigh County on Tuesday.

State police at Pocono said the crash occurred at 5:40 p.m. inside the Lehigh Tunnel in Washington Township. Troopers identified the drivers involved as Megan E. Roth, 34, of Lehighton, driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla, and Christina M. McFadden, 58, of Harleysville, Montgomery County, driving a 2019 Honda CRV. Both drivers were injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Troopers did not give any details of the crash.
