Voting for fall foliage destinations underway

The Pocono Mountains region is back in the running for USA TODAY 10Best Destinations for Fall Foliage. Last year, the Poconos finished in fourth place.

Voting ends Monday.

“The Pocono Mountains are ablaze with hues of red, orange and yellow come autumn, thanks to the area’s 127 species of indigenous trees, plants and shrubs,” writes USA Today 10Best. “Leaf peepers can hop in the car for a scenic cruise along Route 507 near Lake Wallenpaupack or climb aboard a fall foliage train.”

The Pocono Mountains includes the historic towns of Milford, Jim Thorpe, Stroudsburg, Hawley and Honesdale where you can dine, shop and enjoy the surrounding fall foliage.

Roughly 300 businesses throughout the region have signed onto the Pocono Promise to keep our communities clean, safe and healthy. c health crisis.
