State police at the Lehighton barracks arrested Chance Whiteman, 20, of Palmerton, on a charge of criminal mischief after responding to an incident at 7:20 p.m. July 18 at the intersection of State Route 895 and Riverview Road in East Penn Township.

Police said a 57-year-old woman from Slatington told them Whiteman intentionally damaged the windshield of her 2011 Mazda with a wrench, causing $200 in damages, while the victim’s son was operating the vehicle.
